Map Me (Térképezz fel)
Kurt Vandendriessche és Charlotte Vanden Eynde ebben a duettben azt kutatja, hogy a performansz mint médium mennyire más médium, mint a tánc és a színházi előadás. A performansz fizikai, vizuális és/ vagy színházi akció vagy nem-akció összessége. Charlotte Vanden Eynde először építi be a videót mint médiumot az élő performansz eszköztárába, úgy, hogy a test vetítővászonná válik, a kivetített képek pedig mozgó elemekké válnak. Így a kép olyan sokrétegű lesz, amelyben a test textúrája és az anyagtalan videó képek egyesülnek. A videó képek felfedik előttünk a test amúgy a szem előtt rejtett oldalát, és kivetíti mindazt, ami benne zajlik. A Map Me nemcsak az egyén saját identitásának kutatása, testének feltérképezése hanem találkozás is egy másik testtel egy másik identitással. Ebben a kapcsolatban az egyik identitás feloldódhat a másikban: egyfajta szimbiózis jön létre. A Map me az új élet születésével kezdődő és végződő életciklusok vizualizációjára tett kísérlet, ugyanakkor a közönséggel való közelebbi kapcsolatteremtés lehetőségének vizsgálata.

In the duet
MAP ME Charlotte Vanden Eynde and Kurt Vandendriessche investigate
performance as different medium next to dance and theatre. Performance as a
collection of physical, visual, and/or theatrical 'actions' and
'non-actions'. For the first time Charlotte Vanden Eynde integrates the
medium video in a live-performance and this by projecting images on the
body: the body as canvas, the projected images as moving element. This
makes the creation of a poly-layered image possible, an image in which the
material quality of the body and the almost immaterial one of the video
image fuse. The video image shows us the hidden sides of the body and
visualizes what is going on inside the body. MAP ME is an investigation of
one's own identity and of the meeting with another identity, another body.
This contact can lead to the neutralisation of the own identity in favour
of the connection, the symbioses with the other. MAP ME is an attempt to
the visualisation of the life cycles, that begins and end with the
existence of new life. Next to this it is also an investigation of the
sharing of intimacy with an audience.
